Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish

Although most natural acne treatments that work come in the form of internal vitamin supplements, tea tree oil is an all-natural treatment that may formulate great results with just a topical application. Mainly employed as a spot treatment, tea tree oil has gained a reputation as the natural substitute to benzoyl peroxide, giving a good deal of of the same clear skin gains with in general milder side effects.

Tea tree oil originates from the leaves of the Australian Melaleuca Alternafolia Tree. For years it has been used as a natural disinfectant, killing destructive bacteria in cuts and scrapes without the stinging that comes with alcohol. It’s likewise been known to aid sooth pain and speed the healing of little wounds. More recently, it is antibacterial properties have been found to be a potent weapon versus acne.

As an acne treatment, tea tree oil is commonly applied either as a concentrated spot treatment, or a diluted face wash. In my experience, using 100% tea tree oil as a spot treatment is the most effective route. Applying a few drops of tea tree oil directly to acne spots may kill the underlying bacteria and arid up the inflamed region, most times as speedily as overnight. Most users find that the drying is not as severe as with other acne productions that use benzoyl peroxide, and tea tree oil will not bleach your costume either (plus it’s less expensive, and a little amount will last much longer).

Tea tree oil is most effective in high concentrations, so you’re better off using a little amount directly on disturb spots, rather than diluting the concentration and using it all over, though users with highly sensible skin may find dilution necessary. As with any topical treatment, you don’t want to over-dry and irritate your face, or clear skin will be even harder to maintain.

As effective as tea tree oil is at eliminating current acne blemishes, like all topical treatments it cannot in truth aid with preventing new acne from forming underneath your skin. Tea tree oil also has a rather strong alcohol-like smell, so it may be best to use it only at night before bed. These elements aside, tea tree oil is an splendid substitute if you’re looking for a natural spot treatment that is more tame on your skin than benzoyl peroxide. Combined with internal natural acne merchandise (for acne prevention), you will have a natural regimen that does away with spots quickly and maintains clear skin in the future.

1Way over priced!

Don’t buy your tea tree oil from the body shop. I purchased “Desert Essence” Tea Tree oil from Whole Foods…a 2 oz. bottle for 11$. The tea tree oil from the Body Shop is only .33 oz!!! In addition, the Desert Essence is 100% Tea Tree Oil, where the Body Shop’s is only 15%. I love tea tree oil, but don’t get it from the body shop!

5Best stuff I’ve ever applied on my skin.

I started having actually random breakouts on my face and was frustrated that my usual face washing routine wasn’t keeping my blemishes away. I purchased this stuff and started spot-treating each blemish in the morning after my shower and at night before bed. It clears my blemishes more quickly than anything I’ve ever used…all without drying out my skin! Other reviews have said not to buy it from the body shop because it’s diluted to 15% tea tree oil. I’ve read that if you buy pure tea tree oil, however, you ought to dilute it before you put it on your face. I find this less sophisticated to use because it’s ready-made to go on your face and it works!

5Amazing

I always have to buy stuff from the body shop overseas when we go to alien ports and This line is supposed to be good for skin clearing, so I tried this the toner, and the moisturiser and was WOW-ed, because there isn’t much I may find to support my skin, seeing as I go on long deployments, excess stress, and alot of times very bad skin habits but this in truth did help. I don’t suffer from terrible acne, just sufficient around my chin to be embarassing and make my habits worse by covering up with more makeup. But this actually did help. And I’m sure you may find it for for less but It’s just good to know that this stuff works.
