Very Inappropriate and Pointless

I found this book to be yet another one of those books churned out by the machines of middle management, and handed down to the employee. Most of these books BECOME best vendors because they are sold in bulk to corporations for pennies on the dollar. Notice how this book has “companion” pieces of merchandise, like games, a web site, and training seminars? They are syndication a finish product line to inefficient management, and look at the book as more of a huge business card/advertisement.

This becomes apparent when you read the stories and parables that surprise me that it took two writers to write only 96 pages. The writing is haphazard, poorly edited, unhelpful, sends mixed signals, and boils down to a rather insensitive “Things change, get applied to it, change or you will die. Now keep moving.” I would never give this to an employee, because that would be like giving an employee a stick of deodorant and marveling why they’ve stopped talking to you. This book does not care with regards to the reader, and if I got it, I’d think, “Is my boss telling me to move on?” Comparing people to mice, and life’s goals to cheese is patronizing to any individual with a sense of self-awareness. The motivational parables are generic, and seem out of place to the rest of the scare tactic this book is.

There are better motivational books out there that are written by experienced humans who have good ideas that are helpful, not doom-obsessed. This book is more of a poke in the back with a sharp stick than a carrot on the end of s string, or a light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, this book might as well say, “You better not go to the light at the end of the tunnel, it could go away at any moment, and then where will you be?” Like another reviewer here said, “[the book] offers no answer other than you’ve got to go out and find more ‘cheese” for yourself.’” Anyone who has reached the age of adulthood, and doesn’t realize that change is inevitable will surely never get the message from this book. And those that do recognise will only think this book is redundant and almost encouraging bitterness. I don’t know what the point of this book in truth is, except as a great deal of sort of gloomy pap.

This book is already for the most part applied up, and will never be remembered like Zig Ziglar or Thomas Harris. Lemmings, hurtling over the cliff’s edge

This is the WORST business book I have ever read. The intention behind it is valid, but the content may be summed up in a few statements:

Change will happen

If you don’t change, you will die (figuratively or literally)

Watch for signs of change, so you may be prepared to change, too

Change is good, and may lead to something better

There. Do you feel like paying me [good money] for that worthful knowledge?

This is a parable, which means they dressed up the real content by writing a goofy story in regards to mice and little people, taking up more pages so they could warrant the cost. Unfortunately, they could only drag the story out so far (how some times may you read, “and he held walking and looking for more cheese”). The book was still only when it comes to 20 pages long, too short for a hardcover, so they added a second story to frame the parable itself. The second story is when it comes to a group at a reunion that talks when it comes to the book. Even THAT doesn’t add sufficient pages to warrant printing it in hardcover, so they increased the print size to roughly what you see in books for 3 year olds.

The author, publisher and whoever else was involved in this moneymaking system evidently recognized that numerous humans would see through their efforts. Their solution? Put in a statement saying, in effect, “If you think this book isn’t worthwhile, then you aren’t a talented, cutting edge business person like all the other who read the book are.”

Believe me, an individual in your office (probably your boss) is waving this book around, exclaiming how terrifi it is and telling you to read it. ASK IF YOU CAN BORROW HIS COPY. Do not spend cash on it yourself. You’re going to have to read it, unfortunately, because the herd has spoken and you can’t stray from the herd. I’ll bet the person who started the rumor that this was a good book is getting royalties. It’s the only explanation.

The one saving grace regarding this book is it’s a quick read. I finished it in 23 minutes. At least you may soon move on to something more worthwhile.

The unbelievably huge number of humans who think this is a good book is very scary. I hope these humans are not necessary decision makers. Everything bad that may be said when it comes to this book has been said before, so I’ll just compile a “Best of” list for you. (By the way, in case you’re wondering, “Dr.” Johnson’s degree is in education.)

Regarding management and corporate American in general
* This book is the cop-out for managers who believe in modify for change’s sake.

Great Product on Ebony Skin

I started getting acne young, when i was in regards to 10 and i did not recognise how to look after my skin then. No cleansing, toning or even moisturizing because i thought that would give me more spots, what a fool i was.
The problem with black skin is that it hyperpigments easy and by the time i was 21 i couldnt bare to look at myself in the mirror, i had so a heap of acne scars i couldnt stand it. Dermatologists were no help, the pills and creams are useless if you do not have a good skin care regimen which is something the doctors do not ordinarily tell you.

Product works great, noticeable prompt improvement, altho not drastic. I have been repeating it and have not had harsh results, just the expected peeling. I have big pores on my nose, chin and amidst eyebrows. After the peel I observe a modify in pore depth and size. I am very impressed.

This book is good for mild to moderate acne

I have pretty bad acne so using the home remedies and over the counter merchandise listed in this book didn’t support much. So, I went to see Dr. Fried himself and I am now using perscription medication. I haven’t been on the medication long so I can’t tell you if the medications have worked yet, but perhaps at a later date I could let you know. The book is helpful to track the reasons why we get acne and what the causes are. And it gives you understanding that you are not the only one. I feel this book is more for persons who are not perpetually worring with regards to their skin. It is more for “light” acne. If you are lowspirited in regards to your face then my counsel would be to go see the dermatologist and get it over with. I believe that this a great book for understanding your acne but not a good book for curing it.

Not what I thought it would be

I was looking for some ways to clear up acne, something that I could do without going to a doctor. This book is genuinely more when it comes to the aroused affect of acne and how to deal with it. This does seem to work, surprisingly, as described. I’ve almost finished the bottle and I will proceed to buy this product. It does help control oil (for a short while), doesn’t sting at all, has a pleasant but light citrus scent, and it genuinely does work double-duty as a light moisturizer and acne lotion.

Update 3/23: This is still working for me, and I still love it. Normally by now I would be discouraged with the acne product and be ready to try something else, but not this time.

Impressed so far

For the past various years I applied Aveeno Clear Complexion Correcting Treatment to prevent and clear the blemishes I get with hormonal fluctuations. It was 0.5% salicylic acid and worked well without over-drying my “maturing” skin. When it was discontinued, I purchased up all the leftover tubes I could find…and when those at last ran out, I scoured the stores and internet for a replacement. I tried two or three highpriced products. Not only were they drying, my skin seemed to “rebound” and I was getting what I would characterize as persistent, moderate acne. So there I was with a red, flakey, zitty face, when I decisive to undertake the Neutrogena Rapid Clear lotion. I thought the 2% salicylic acid would be too much, but I’m happy to report that the lotion is comforting and not overdrying at all. I use a thin layer over my entire face morning and night. I have been using it for a couple of months, and in the introductory two weeks my skin did without doubt “rapidly clear.” I am not even in truth getting much in the way of my popular per month breakouts. Really good product

I am skeptical of productions like this. nonetheless i was enjoyably surprised. i am a 20 year old man, and got this product mainly to undertake and support my shoulder and back acne. While it’s not a miracle wash that gets rid off all of your acne, for me it has scaled down the number of new breakouts and the acne is much smaller. Also, this wash gives you an unbelievable clean.
